FINAL PROJECT
As discussed last month, you have a project we will work on during Thursdays - it is in TWO PARTS:

[1] The SCORE - historic timeline project - you and your team of 3 or 4 will be provided a time range (OPUS) to build a timeline for. It must include:

  • DATES from the DATES SHEET provided to you at the beginning of the year (only use the dates from your particular OPUS and only on page 1 up to 1492 AD).
  • At least 20 TERMS from the weekly vocabulary sheets (again, only within the time of your OPUS).
  • At least 20 MAJOR HISTORICAL EVENTS (thINSTRUCTIONS and DETAILS offers some to get you started; you may use these or use your own).
  • At least 5 SOLOS, or MAJOR HISTORICAL PERSONS living within the time period of your team's OPUS.

INSTRUCTIONS and DETAILS can be found HERE, in case you lost your copy.In case you lost your RUBRIC, CLICK HERE.
(This is for a TEAM project - teams of 3 &4)

[2] "What If?..." ESSAY - historic analysis paper - based on a topic from the same time period (OPUS) assigned to your team for The SCORE.
In case you need another rubric CLICK HERE.
  • BASED on your TOPIC you chose with Mr. Johnson (between 13 Billion to 1500 AD), create a world without that historical element (person, event, movement, idea, invention, etc.)
  • You should have at least 8 PARAGRAPHS (Introduction, Body [consisting of one paragraph providing a SYNOPSIS or general overview of your historical element, and one paragraph each for the 5 PATTERNS OF MANKIND], and a conclusion)
  • Have fun with this - be creative!
PEER REVIEW form, in case you lost yours, can be found here.

ROUGH DRAFT DUE: Thursday, April 13
    [25 points; 10 initial + 15 Peer Review]

FINAL DRAFT DUE: Thursday, April 27 [50 points]
(This is for each INDIVIDUAL student - graded separate from The SCORE)

I hope this is enjoyable....not JUST another, dull, boring assignment....
