OCTOBER!
Get ready for the concert of mankind's civilization to continue in ANCIENT CHINA, INDIA, GREECE and ROME - we will spend time in the symphony hall of history - highlighting the beginnings of WESTERN CIVILIZATION.....




We will continue daily quizzes and every Wednesday a vocabulary QUIZ...[REMEMBER to go over your VOCABULARY from your reading each week]
AND REMEMBER...anyone how makes NOTECARDS are allowed to use them on Wednesday quizzes (not daily quizzes....but on Wednesday).









REMEMBER - READING QUESTIONS will be passed out each week and will be due at the beginning of class EACH MONDAY. Here are the reading assignments for OCTOBER...

OCTOBER
3  -  Chapter 4 - Empires
         • QUESTIONS - Chapter 4
10 - Chapter 5 - Greece
         • QUESTIONS - Chapter 5
17 - Chapter 6 - Rome and Christianity
         • QUESTIONS - Chapter 6
24 - Chapter 7 - India and China
         • QUESTIONS - Chapter 7
30 - Chapter 8 - African Civilizations
         • QUESTIONS - Chapter 8



The final competition will be in March - mark you calendars!

  •  9:30 am - 1:30ish pm
  • Location: North Idaho STEM Gym/Music Room



WEEKLY - until Christmas Break you will be required to have 10 notecards with 10 facts on your topic EACH THURSDAY! You must have your THESIS STATEMENT (typed - and your OWN copy) handy when I check your notecards, and remember to have a BIBLIOGRAPHY CARD for each fact you find.

Remember there is only ONE WAY to earn your 10 points each week - you MUST have 10 notecards each week. Otherwise, it is a zero - stay on top of your research, folks!
